In order to further improve the quality of graduate students in our college, with the strong support of the Graduate School, Student Department, Logistics Support Department, as well as college leaders and teachers, our college successfully held the 2025 Summer School from July 15th to 17th, 2024. This summer school has received applications from 245 students from 92 universities. After strict screening and evaluation, 100 students were recruited offline and 145 students were recruited online. Over 7000 people participated in the summer school through live streaming.

On the morning of July 15th at 9 o'clock, the opening ceremony of the summer school was held grandly at A431 of Zhigong Building. Vice Dean Zou Liang presided over the opening ceremony and gave a brief introduction to the arrangements of this summer school. Academician Chen Xiangsheng, the dean of the college, warmly welcomed the arrival of the students on behalf of the college, and gave a comprehensive and detailed introduction to the college on the theme of this event. Subsequently, under the leadership of the laboratory leaders, the students went to various laboratories for on-site visits and learning, including the Structural Hall, the National Key Laboratory of Intelligent Construction and Maintenance of Extreme Environment Geotechnical and Tunnel Engineering, the National Key Laboratory of Extreme Environment Green Longevity Road Engineering, the National Key Laboratory of Intelligent Construction and Health Operation and Maintenance of Deep Ground Engineering, and the BIM Laboratory. They also had in-depth exchanges with relevant laboratory teachers.

On the afternoon of the 15th, Vice Dean Ding Zhikun, Professor Su Dong, Professor Tang Tianxiao, Professor Zhang Bochen, and Professor Chen Jialiang gave detailed introductions to the main research platforms of the college, including the China Australia BIM and Smart Construction Joint Research Center, the National Key Laboratory of Intelligent Construction and Maintenance of Extreme Environment Geotechnical and Tunnel Engineering, the National Key Laboratory of Extreme Environment Green Longevity Road Engineering, the Key Laboratory of Geographic Environment Monitoring in the Greater Bay Area of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the National Key Laboratory of Intelligent Construction and Health Operation and Maintenance of Deep Ground Engineering.

On the morning of July 16th, the college invited three industry experts, Chen Chaojun, Chief Engineer of Shenzhen Zhonggu Construction, Li Renge, Dean of China Construction Science and Engineering Research Institute, and Li Binliang, Deputy Director of Shenzhen Comprehensive Transportation Operation Command Center, to share the latest cutting-edge development trends in the industry with the students. After each lecture, experts provided detailed answers to the questions raised by the students, and the atmosphere was very lively. The students gained a lot from it.

On the afternoon of the 16th, the students took a bus to visit China Construction Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd. and the National Key Laboratory of Intelligent Construction and Health Operation and Maintenance of Deep Ground Engineering, Yuerong Base. The person in charge gave a detailed introduction to the relevant aspects and provided valuable suggestions for the students' future planning.

On July 17th, the summer school celebrated its last day and entered the defense phase. The students introduced themselves, their research directions, and plans, showcasing their academic achievements, research progress, and leisure activities during their three years in university, and expressing their aspirations for Shenzhen University. The students performed exceptionally well. After the successful completion of the defense session, a brief closing ceremony was held. First, Vice Dean Zou Liang expressed sincere gratitude to the leaders and teachers of the Graduate School, Student Department, and Logistics Support Department of the school who provided tremendous assistance to this event. Then, Associate Professor Fan Cheng awarded certificates to outstanding students and presented prizes to 20 outstanding students. Thus, the 2025 Summer School of the School of Civil and Transportation Engineering at Shenzhen University has come to a successful conclusion.
