On the morning of July 12, 2024, Master Zhao Yuanchao, a national engineering survey and design master and chief architect of China Northwest Architectural Design and Research Institute, visited our institute for an academic exchange meeting. Academician Chen Xiangsheng, Dean of our institute and the Future Underground City Research Institute, met with guests and presided over the meeting. Professor Fan Yue, Dean of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Professor Su Dong, Vice Dean of the Research Institute, Professor Wang Shuying, and more than 20 students from Shenzhen University attended the meeting in person. More than 10 industry scholars participated online. The exchange meeting was held in Room 1007, Zhili Building, Yuehai Campus (South District).

Master Zhao Yuanchao delivered an academic report titled 'Writing on the Earth - Architectural Practice and Reflection'.

The report is divided into three parts: Western style, urban atmosphere, and future dreams. It introduces the design projects and architectural practices of Master Zhao Yuanchao in multiple cities such as Xi'an, Beijing, and Yan'an, and shares his thoughts and understanding of urban planning and construction trends in the new era.
